“When you can narrow it down to a couple simple things, it’s not so daunting to say – “Hey, I wanna start a practice.””

So what are the couple simple things?

For starters, practicing awareness so we are cognizant of when we become dysregulated.  And, practicing self-regulation techniques so we have the choice to self-soothe and feel better with our own inherent resources.

So often we turn to something outside of ourselves – food, alcohol, social media, shopping, gambling, being hyper-social, etc. These things in and of themselves are not bad, however using them to soothe restricts our emotional freedom.  And, relying on these consistently – not so hot. 😐

A morning practice supports us in so much, including building skills to become aware of when we are being triggered into a stress response.  The sooner we know this in real-time, the sooner we have the emotional freedom to choose what we do next. ❤

Thank you Dan DeVerna for such a fun talk!!
